How do I scan a shelf?
Open Wormi, tap the scan button, and point your camera at a bookshelf so the spines are visible. Take the photo, and Wormi will identify the books it can read. Review the results, then add them to your library, individually or all at once.
Why didn't Wormi recognize a book?
Spine reading works best when the text is legible in the photo. A few tips:
- Angle: shoot the shelf straight-on so spines aren't distorted.
- Lighting: avoid glare and shadows. Even, indirect light is best.
- Distance: get close enough that spine text is readable in the photo. For big shelves, scan one or two rows at a time.
Very worn spines, unusual fonts, and books with no spine text are hard for anyone. You can always add those books manually.
What's the difference between Explorer and Supporter?
Explorer (free) includes unlimited scanning, up to 500 saved books, 3 custom shelves, 30 days of scan history, and recommendations from your whole library.
Supporter ($3.99/mo or $34.99/yr) lifts the limits: unlimited books and shelves, scans kept permanently, and the ability to steer recommendations from any single shelf. See pricing for details.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are billed and managed by Apple. On your iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Wormi → Cancel. You'll keep Supporter access until the end of the paid period.
How do I restore purchases?
If you've re-installed the app or switched devices, open the paywall in the app and tap Restore purchases. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you used to subscribe.
Why did my old scans disappear?
On the free Explorer tier, scan history is kept for 30 days and then fades away automatically. Books you added to your library stay put. Only the scan photos and results expire. Supporters keep every scan permanently.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Profile → Settings → Delete Account. It's immediate and permanent. Full details on the delete account page.
Which devices are supported?
Wormi is iOS-only for now, and requires Sign in with Apple. There is no Android or web app yet.
